Dr. Elizabeth Piantanida is a board-certified dermatologist who is founder and director of Skin MD Dermatology and Skin Enhancement Center in Colorado Springs. She is honored to be recognized by her medical colleagues as a Top Doctor for the fifth time. With over 25 of years experience, she practices general dermatology as well as a wide variety of aesthetic procedures in her expanding and welcoming practice.

Dr. Piantanida completed her medical degree with honors at Tulane University School of Medicine. Upon completion of her dermatology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, she served as an officer and dermatologist in the US Army until 2001. “Professionally, among my most challenging jobs in the Army was that of an Army spouse,” she says. “Frequent relocations and moving from state to state made it difficult for me to really get to know my patients. Practicing in Colorado Springs since 2009, I feel like I have finally achieved this important professional relationship with my patients and the community I serve.”
Dr. Piantanida is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. She has held clinical professorships in dermatology at the University of Hawaii, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences School of Medicine and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Her specialties include cosmetic dermatology and general dermatology.
