Dr. McKissock is proud to be a part of our incredible community of truly exceptional dentists. He is humbled to be recognized as one of its top endodontists again and credits this honor to his team’s tireless efforts to provide safe, emergent dental care with compassion and leading-edge technology.

He is pleased to introduce Dr. Daniel Kersten to our dental friends and patients. We are excited that the soon-to-be-retired Colonel Kersten will join us fulltime with an impressive clinical and academic resume. Dr. Kersten served as the US Army Consultant in Endodontics to the Office of the Surgeon General and earned the US Army’s Dental Educator of the Year award as an Endodontic Program Director. Dr. Kersten and Dr. McKissock share similar perspectives and treatment philosophies as both served the US Army with stellar 20-year careers teaching residents and leading large dental clinics. Dr. McKissock and Dr. Kersten are Board-Certified Endodontists and Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontists.

Elevation Endodontics is built around an amazing team of caring individuals who value the patient’s experience and comfort by providing numerous techniques to ensure a pleasant experience. Dr. McKissock has extensive training in treating dental anxiety and has a holistic approach to treating every patient. He offers oral conscious sedation or nitrous oxide gas for anxious patients and works closely with dental anesthesiologists for patients needing IV sedation. We specialize in all endodontic services, including root canals, root canal retreatments, resorptive repairs, and minimally invasive techniques, including microscopical surgeries, CBCT scans, and much more. We have a modern sterilization system and use the most advanced biocompatible materials for root canal services.

Dr. McKissock served seven years as the endodontic instructor for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. He is a Brown University graduate and a former Army Scout helicopter pilot. After his flying days, he earned a DMD degree from the University of Florida and graduated on the dean’s list with several patient care awards and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society’s Ethics Award. His Army service is highlighted by tours in Germany, Egypt, and Afghanistan.

Dr. McKissock married his college sweetheart, Jill, and is the proud father of Dean, Cole, and Luke.
